Laboratorio Futuro”:  Theme of the Fuorisalone Milano 2023

Milan Fashion Week 2024 today

The main theme of this edition of Salone and Fuorisalone Milano 2023 will be “Laboratorio Futuro”. this edition wants to be an opportunity for comparison and sharing to analyze the present, recognize the past mistakes and generate new practices for the future.

This edition proposes a reflection on how we imagine our future in relation to the uniqueness of the time in which we live. The programe represent an opportunity for debate to imagine and build alternatives ideas through moments of collective dialogue,

to focus on opportunities and critical issues. we live in an historical moment where the great themes that characterize it are closely linked to each other by a red thread: from climate crisis to enegy crisis, passing through wars and political instability.

This year’s theme recalls the experimental dimension of the project. It wants to be an invitation to question ourselves on how we want to design change at responding to the many challenges that await us. For this reason, design become an instrument of reflection and at the same time of collective action.

The oracle of the Fuorisalone, a tool at the service of tomorrow’s designer

The Oracle of Fuorisalone Milano 2023 is a project conceived by Studiolabo. It consist of a deck with 28 cards illustrated by Serena Mazzi, produced in limited edition by Tiburtini. The roman typography has been present on the market for more than 60 years and combines artisan passion and industrial know-how. It allows you to transform the most ambitious ideas into typographic products unique in quality and finesse.

Trame: an interactive installation at the Civic Acquarium, curated by STARK

For the second year STARK, a leading company in the production of multimedia installations and interactive experience, returns to animate the spaces of the Acquarium of Milan with an interactive project. there are changes that are complex to understand and that become clearer if you leave free room for intuition.

Trame is the interactive-perceptive exercise that STARK dedicates to the theme of Fuorisalone 2023. Stark offers an experience of interaction with multiple voices.

The hands guide the effect in space, but it is also transformed by the actions of other “actors” who intervene to alter what surrounds us. In the evocative aura of the acquarium the collaboration with the architects Alice Buroni and Gloria Lisi together with Alex Buroni led STARK to experience this experience in a shared lab proposing a dip in the wonderful metamorphoses that the relationship between gestures can originate.
