New York lit up with a banging splash, for Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2023 collections.
Reeling back from the pandemic era, and coming out of the daily uniform of sweatpants. New York welcomed yet another week of fashion and glamour. New York Fashion Week set the perfect mood, with many attires inspiring you to take your next vacation. It was a joyous vibe, an excitement of Real Life.
Kicking off the start, we saw Proenza Schouler. With cascading illuminating backdrops, the brand had the likes of Bella Hadid and Kendal Jenner walking the runway. It was a collection of crochets, fringes, and glam.

During New York Fashion Week, the influence of nature could be seen in both the collections and the ramps. saw Proenza Schouler, with their cascading illuminating waterfall backdrops, to Michael Kors with a tropical green setting. We could see glamour embracing nature. Crochets, fringes to sequins under blazers.
“People want to show off their bodies,” Mr. Kors said. “Whether they are 20 or 70, size 2 or size 22. They want to feel good about themselves!”
On the other hand, Altuzarra went with the inspiration of nature standing out in their designs. According to the show notes, the collection “charts the path to mysticism, blurring lines between man and nature, the physical and spiritual.”

FIERCE AND POWERFUL
Area’s newest collection ‘Tetrahedron’, experimented with the fusion of fetishes and architecture. Opening with a cage-like bondage dress, covered in jumbo, jewel-encrusted spikes. The spikes were actually 3D-printed cones handset with Swarovski jewels.
Tom Ford, with his signature style, brought out the fierce smouldering appeal. The models dispensed a powerful vibe walking down the mirrored runway, under disco balls. He was the starry finale to mark the end of fashion week.
