Il ritorno di Cher?
Woman’s World, un nuovo brano delle cantante
Il suo ultimo album di inediti, Living Proof, è del 2001, a cui era seguito il lunghissimo Farewell Tour, con cui pareva voler dare l’addio alle scene. Poi nel 2010, l’avevamo vista in Burlesque, al fianco di Christina Aguilera.
Ora però sembra davvero vicino il ritorno discografico di Cher, una delle artiste che più hanno influenzato la scena pop mondiale negli ultimi decenni. E’ infatti apparso in rete un breve frammento di Woman’s World, un nuovo brano delle cantante, quasi sicuramente incluso nel disco di cui si parla da molto tempo, ma del quale non si hanno che scarsissime informazioni.
Non sappiamo se la versione è quella definitiva, mai pochi secondi disponibili, sembra trattarsi di una canzone dalle sonorità dance, un brano energico, destinato a riempire le piste da ballo. Per il momento non si hanno altre novità sull’album, il ventiseiesimo della dua carriera: tra le varie voci che da tempo si rincorrono, dovrebbe esserci anche un duetto con Lady Gaga inThe Greatest Thing, già in circolazione in rete nella versione cantata dalla sola Gaga.
Famosa per i suoi costumi appariscenti e per i numerosi interventi di chirurgia plastica, Cher vanta una lunga e fortunata carriera da cantante e attrice iniziata nella prima metà degli anni ’60, con 100 milioni di dischi venduti e un Oscar come miglior attrice nel 1988 con il film Stregati dalla luna.
Il suo più grande successo discografico è Believe, singolo pubblicato nel 1998 e contenuto nell’omonimo album: più di 10 milioni le copie vendute nel mondo.
