Together, the luxury brand and the automaker have launched their first shoe collection under the Made in Italy label. Tod’s x Lamborghini was released this 11th of January.

The partnership between Tod’s x Lamborghini was one of the standout features of this highly anticipated men’s fashion event as the Pitti Uomo show in Florence came to an end.
The two brands wanted to collaborate on this first project to honor their shared Italian heritage and expertise. And how better to accomplish this than by taking a second look at a timeless favorite, in this case the Tod’s Gommino moccasin?
This well-known shoe from the late 1970s has been redesigned and is now typically worn as a driving shoe. The manufacturer’s supercars’ aerodynamic design served as inspiration for the model’s details and thicker rubber studs, which were added to the model without compromising its unique silhouette. The model even has its own fashion label.
The two companies’ exclusive partnership honors creativity and craftsmanship, which characterize the two business entities as leaders in their respective fields.
These two share fundamental qualities: vision and passion, as well as an unwavering commitment to technological research and innovation. Together, they are pushing the boundaries of Italian style to new heights. The project begins with the introduction of a footwear collection for men and women that includes two models: the classic Tod’s Gommino, as mentioned before, and a sneaker made in hues that are derived from the two brands.
The Gommino’s new line is reminiscent of Lamborghini’s ultra-slim sports car livery, and the tubular banding improves the vehicle’s aerodynamic appeal, giving it a sleek, flowing appearance. The distinctive “pebbles” on the soles adopt the hue of the upper or heel. The finest tanneries in the world provide the leathers used in this product, and hand cutting and stitching of the leather call for a high degree of skill during the production process.
The launch of the collection took place at Pitti Uomo in Florence, an occasion that is regarded as a “must” for men’s fashion. The collection, exhibited in all of its guises, and the two Lamborghini Revueltos, which highlight the harmony of the two worlds, are the installation’s absolute highlights. Additionally, a portion of Tod’s artisanal production will be moved to Stazione Leopolda, where the Gommino’s expert sewing and assembly will be on public display.
The Lamborghini Gommino, which comes in yellow, blue, green, or all-black, also has the brand’s emblem adorning the back of the heel. However, the model retains the hand-stitched outer seams and cut leather that have contributed to its popularity.
Tod’s, with the appointment of a new artistic director, and Lamborghini have declared their intention to expand their partnership to encompass ready-to-wear and leather goods.
There are four colorways available for the sneakers, ranging from a simple white to a striking gray, white, and green combination. The new sneakers, which draw inspiration from Tod’s low-tops, have a smooth leather upper with suede inserts, a heel with pebbles, and the Lambo logo on both the left and right sides. For days spent at the track, the sneakers are more casual than the loafers.
