David McCallum: morto a 90 anni
L’attore scozzese si è spento all’età di 90 anni.
David McCallum: 90 anni sullo schermo
L’attore di Glasgow, classe 1933, è diventato celebre per i suoi ruoli in Organizzazione U.N.C.L.E., in cui interpretava l’agente segreto russo Illya Kuryakin, in Zaffiro e Acciaio e in NCIS – Unità anticrimine, in cui ha indossato i panni del dottor Donald Mallard, il medico legale, fino alla sua morte, lunedì 25 settembre, ruolo che anche gli ha portato la maggior fama.
McCallum era da tempo ricoverato al Presbyterian Hospital di New York. La famiglia ha dichiaratto che le cause della morte sono state naturali.

David McCallum: l’addio degli amici
Diversi sono gli amici e i colleghi che hanno voluto dare un addio all’attore inglese, tra cui anche il compagno di cast di NCIS, Mark Harmon, interprete del capo Leroy Jethro Gibbs:
“David lived a great, full, long life, I was in awe when I first met him and all of us on the show were honored to have toed a mark opposite him. My condolences go out to Katherine and his family” (intervista a Mark Harmon di TVLine)
Pauley Perrette, interprete di Abby Sciuto in NCIS, ha scritto un post su Instagram:
“Oh David. What a life. What a legend. What a journey. And your legacy
Will always be the love you have for your family. Love to Katherine and the kids and the grandkids, your absolutely very favorite things“.
Anche Brian Dietzen, interprete del dottor Jimmy Palmer in NCIS e tra i più vicini a “Ducky”, lo ricorda su Instagram:
“David McCallum was a mentor, a great scene partner, a wonderful father and husband, and he was my dear friend. […] He was a joy to work with. Always had a smile. Always had something new to add to the page, and ALWAYS had the ability to steal every scene he was in! […] The friendship and respect people saw between Ducky and Jimmy over the years mirrored the relationship we’d developed off camera“.
