Louis Vuitton’s first hotel 2026

Louis Vuitton, a Parisian fashion house, has declared that it will launch its first hotel in 2026, located at Champs Élysées, Paris.

Established by Mr. Louis Vuitton in 1854, the fashion house has maintained a stable position in the luxury goods market ever since its 1858 debut of its now-famous luggage trunks. Over the past 150 years, the brand has diversified into smaller accessories and ready-to-wear clothing in addition to luggage. Pietro Beccari, the brand’s CEO and chairman, has now confirmed plans to launch the first-ever Louis Vuitton hotel in 2026, expanding his vision from wearable luxury to its very first hotel.

The project was introduced in November 2023 with the goal of looking like a massive replica of one of the brand’s renowned chests is being used to house the hotel to honour the story of the brand. The building, spanning 22,000 square meters, is the biggest along the renowned Champs-Élysées avenue. In 1898, it was first constructed as a hotel. Many years later, in 1919, it was converted to a bank and then taken over by the Wehrmacht, the Nazi Germany’s armed forces during World War II. It became the French headquarters of the British bank HSBC after the war.

Although there have been rumors of similar events for a while, no. The brand’s corporate headquarters, located in the 8th arrondissement of the French capital, is set to undergo a transformation, according to CEO Michael Burke. Constructed in 1896, the magnificent Art Nouveau structure initially held the Elysée Palace hotel. Since then, it has undergone numerous changes. Most recently, it served as the HSBC Bank’s headquarters. He described his office, which is located in a building on the 103rd Champs Elysees, the city’s most renowned shopping street, as having “the most spectacular view in the world.” Monuments like the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower are visible from this location.

There have been one or two predecessors, even though this is the brand’s largest entry into the hospitality sector. “LV Dream,” a temporary experience-based concept store, gallery, and café, was inaugurated by Louis Vuitton in December 2022. The multi-story building highlighted the company’s illustrious past as well as its numerous partnerships with renowned designers and artists, including Christopher Nemeth, Daniel Buren, Nigo, and Grace Coddington. In addition to the store and exhibition, LV Dream had a chocolate shop and cafe where pastry chef Maxime Frédéric provided opulent yet sophisticated treats.

Prestigious brands with a strong aesthetic following would naturally want to offer more than just clothing, and Louis Vuitton is hardly the only one with the desire of launching its first hotel. The opulent Palazzo Versace hotels are available for stays in Dubai, Macau, and Australia’s Gold Coast. Bulgari, an Italian brand, has hotels in Milan, Rome, London, and many other cities.

The LV hotel’s specifics have been fiercely guarded, and in order to guarantee a dramatic reveal, the façade of the structure will be covered up during the renovations to resemble one of the company’s iconic travel cases. There’s no doubt in our minds that the designer’s brief, which hasn’t been revealed yet, will prioritize glitz and extravagance.

Not to mention, the fashion house has a long history of using architectural backdrops for its runway shows. Examples of these include exhibits at John Lautner-designed Bob Hope’s Palm Springs estate and a most recent show at Louis Kahn’s Salk Institute. It’s reasonable to assume that the hotel will be in good hands when the time comes with taste like that.

Conclusion: 2026 will see the unveiling of the Italian brand Louis Vuitton’s new project: its first hotel at Champs Élysées, Paris.
