Before, we mentioned 5 second hand shops in Milan, more recently we focused on online vintage sites, and now we are raising the bar by selecting 15 vintage shops in Milan for you. If you’re looking for leather jackets, 70s garments, fabulous jewellery or unusual furnishings, this article is for you!
15 vintage shops in Milan
1. Urzì
Let’s start with Urzì, in the historic Brera district, a sophisticated vintage shop with attention to detail, refined and elegant. The style embraces the fashion of the 80s and 90s with a few exceptions for 60s and 70s garments, only if still well preserved. The velvet jackets are beautiful, as are the silk scarves and leather bags, which we particularly appreciated.
Note of merit is the value for money: here, you can buy unique pieces and beautifully made garments at very honest prices.

2. Orient express vintage
A stone’s throw away from the quaint district of China Town, on Viale Montello, is Orient Express Vintage, a shop with a fancy and colourful 70s design.
The orange walls provide a backdrop for the elaborately arranged clothes and the large leather armchairs, as well as the vinyl and coffee tables, gave us the feeling of being in a sophisticated living room at home. While looking around, we were enraptured by the patterned dresses and shirts, but especially by the coats and leather jackets… gorgeous!
What makes this vintage shop unique is the presence of a bar counter where you can sip a drink after a busy shopping session, or enjoy an aperitif with friends or a date. The small tables outside recall the Parisian style and are also suitable for a romantic evening. Note of credit: the great music!

3. Sous vintage shop
A few steps from the Darsena, on the Naviglio Pavese, you will find Sous Vintage Shop. Among the many offerings are small evening pochettes, designer dresses, men’s suits and leather trousers: a true paradise for vintage lovers.
The shop has recently changed location, moving a few doors further along the Naviglio, but you are still spoilt for choice. Whether you are looking for a dress for a special occasion or an accessory to complete a look, it won’t be difficult to find something that suits you.

4. Pourquoi moi Vintage
Pourquoi Moi Vintage, on Via Mario Fusetti, a secluded side street of the Naviglio Grande, is a very pretty vintage shop that winks at Scandinavian and Finnish styles. Juliana, the owner, a stylish Londoner with a passion for fashion and music, has a knack for conveying her love of vintage and is one of the reasons why we liked Pourquoi Moi so much.
Everything is in excellent condition and pulled together: the floral and geometric patterned dresses, the soft cashmere knitwear and the leather bags. The selection of vintage shoes is also a 10-star!
In every detail you can see the good taste of Juliana, who has been able to give a soul to this small space away from the hustle and bustle of the Naviglio. We recommend you go and get lost in it.

Opening hours: Open daily (Tue-Sat 1-7pm, Sun 2-6pm) except Mondays
5. Bottega rossa
There are magical places where, upon entering, one loses the perception of space and time, where every detail has a special story: Bottega Rossa, in the Brera district, is an example of this. The shop started out in the 1970s as a 1920s vintage and, over time, has collected a multitude of objects and clothes.
It is exciting to see with how much care and love the owner, Franco, previously a furniture restorer, carries on the business left to him by his wife: a moral responsibility that has turned into passion. He is the real soul of the shop and it is worth taking the time to listen to his stories and style advice.
The secret is to work hard, observe minutely and spend time searching because it is easy to get lost among the countless articles.
The gifts and jewellery are also a nice potpourri: from chandeliers to clip-on earrings, from antique marionettes to ornate clocks, everything here has something to tell!

6. Live in vintage
This small fashionable corner, run by a mother and daughter, in the Isola area, contains everything that can make a vintage enthusiast happy: clip-on earrings in every colour and shape, silk shirts, beautifully crafted items, in perfect condition, mostly from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
Although the shop is very small, the offer is very wide and it is fun to look through the many items and unearth some unique piece hidden among designer dresses, evening handbags, Mary Jane shoes and bijoux.
Live in Vintage is an explosion of colour and style that enchanted us at first sight. For those who enjoy Sunday strolls, we would like to point out that Live in Vintage can be found at stand 204, in Ripa di Porta Ticinese, every last Sunday of the month during the Mercatone sul Naviglio.

7. The cloister
The Cloister, in the Missori area, is an unusual vintage shop: a concept store that, in addition to selling vintage clothes, supports small publishing and craft businesses. The space is very large: the upper floor is dedicated to independent publishing, which intrigued us a lot, and to second-hand books, while the ground floor houses modern antiques, vintage clothes from the 1920s to the early 2000s, jewellery and various body care and clothing products.
The idea of having united all this in one place seems to us a winning choice: trying on a dress while leafing through a Japanese magazine, enveloped by the scent of Amoln candles, is fun and stimulating. Try it to believe!
The selection of vintage clothes is vast and caters for all tastes: from American and French workwear to elegant dresses for special occasions, from designer bags to 70s patterned shirts, The Cloister is a melting pot of style.
The archive, not yet open to the public, hides unique pieces such as World War I jackets and a cape from the 1800s.

8. Don’t waste
Don’t Waste, in the Naviglio Grande area, is a vintage shop that likes to define itself as new age: branded clothes and accessories, iconic vintage or second hand pieces that are selected and sold according to the principle of ‘re-use/re-think/re-cycle’.
From the wide selection of workwear jackets to the super-coloured wool jumpers, perfect for our beloved oldies evenings or Christmas dinner, to the trench coats, to use on rainy days in Milan, Don’t Waste’s style is alternative and modern and we love it!
We would also like to point out the selection of spectacle frames: here, you can find the classic big glasses, the ones our grandparents used to wear with bottle-bottom lenses, perfect to wear as an accessory to complete a look.
The shop is small but with attention to detail: light effects, vintage displays and modern cabinets harmonise to create a northern European atmosphere.

Opening hours: Open every day (Mon-Sat 10am-1pm and 3-7.30pm, Sun 3-7.30pm) except Tuesdays and Wednesdays
9. Squad Milano
Jeans fans cannot miss Squad Milano, retailer of the much desired Evisu, the jeans of the famous eponymous brand founded in Osaka in 1991. The shop is tiny, a few steps from the San Lorenzo columns, but it is a treasure trove for lovers of the 90s and 2000s.
American sweatshirts, rare T-shirts but also game cards, video games and collector’s items. The search for products is careful and scrupulous: not by chance, the owner, a very passionate guy, is often travelling the world in search of unique items to offer his customers.
For those of you in London, we recommend a visit to the new premises in Vinegar Yard, London Bridge area. Let us know what it’s like!
Address: Via Gian Giacomo Mora 7, Milan
Hours: Open every day (11am-7pm) except Mondays and Sundays
10. Vintage delirium
Entering Vintage Delirium is like taking a leap back in time: the style is reminiscent of the Milanese boutiques of yesteryear, with large built-in wardrobes, showcases full of objects and a spiral staircase leading to the upper floor where a truly beautiful archive of vintage clothes is kept!
The shop is stunning, as is the selection of products inside, all unique pieces that the owner, a button collector, has accumulated over the years. Colourful Hermès ties that made us fly into the hyperspace of cool fashion, classic Chanel bags and the iconic Birkin: what a dream! Plus jewellery, a wall of only rare buttons, mini clutches and vintage clothes that we really loved.
A must for vintage enthusiasts, in the Brera area, just a few steps from Castello Sforzesco.

13. Bivio Milano: the 3 stores scattered around Milan
This vintage store is one of the second-hand stores with the best brands of the moment, with a very interesting choice of clothes and accessories from the big maisons, and more, at affordable prices.
There are two shops in Via Mora; the first we encounter is the one dedicated to the women’s selection, while continuing on, you will come across the shop reserved for the men’s selection, although our advice is to have a look at both.
We also find a third Bivio store in the Porta Venezia area, specifically at Via Lambro 12.
Address: Via Mora 4 (woman) – Via Mora 14 (man) – Via Lambro 12 (woman/man)Hours: open every day (11 a.m.–7 p.m.)14.
Cavalli and Nastri: the 3 stores scattered around Milan
Between shop windows that pay homage to the best of 20th-century fashion, precious furnishings, intimate salon atmospheres, and an eclectic and varied clientele, Cavalli e Nastri is somewhere between a fashion boutique and a concept shop, thanks to three shops in the centre of Milan: an online shop, a tailor’s shop, and an archive where collectors, photographers, stylists, and designers in search of inspiration alternate.
In conclusion, Cavalli e Nastri is a reference point in the international high-end vintage scene and in Milan we find no less than three stores.
