Babylone: New Saint Laurent concept shop in Paris 2024
The fashion house recently opened Saint Laurent Babylone, a new art-focused boutique located in Paris at 9 rue de Grenelle.

Continuing to link the fashion house with its Parisian roots, Anthony Vaccarello, creative director of Saint Laurent, opened the doors to another architecturally appealing venture in December, following the opening of the brand’s largest flagship store in Paris. Rue de Grenelle’s newest cultural center, Saint Laurent Babylone, is more than just a typical bookstore; it’s a place where various forms of art, music, fashion, and culture come together, all interpreted through Vaccarello’s own lens.
Visitors are welcome to explore a variety of fine books, rare records, contemporary magazines, and even chocolates, which are the result of a partnership between the house and pastry chef François Daubinet, in this area of raw, minimalist architecture, which is modeled after the brand’s new boutiques. Anthony Vaccarello himself chose each one of them.
Saint Laurent Babylone’s interior, which mixes angular, rocky shelving and walls with slick marble tables, is reminiscent of the brand’s new Paris flagship. An archival Pierre Jeanneret desk is topped with rare books that are difficult to leaf through without gloves.
The Belgian designer, who took over as head of Saint Laurent in 2016, is increasingly bridging the gap between the fashion house and the creative community. He established Saint Laurent Productions in 2023 and oversaw the production of Strange Way of Life, Pedro Almodovar’s most recent picture. Along with Saint Laurent Rive Droite, Saint Laurent is a publishing house that puts out a number of art books devoted to the images of Purienne, Gray Sorrenti, and Jeanloup Sieff. This new location will eventually be used as an artistic stage. According to the press release, the schedule will soon include DJ sets, readings, signings of books, and vernissages.
Similar to other luxurious brands like Ralph Lauren and Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent aims to provide its clients with a genuine Saint Laurent way of life. The brand offers a 360-degree experience that strengthens brand recognition and fosters customer loyalty, ranging from books, candles, and key rings to suits and handbags.
