La London Fashion Week Uomo giugno 2024 ritorna dal 7 al 9 giugno 2024 con tantissimi eventi e novità: scopri il calendario completo della settimana della moda menswear di Londra e di tutte le altre Fashion Week imminenti.
LONDON FASHION WEEK UOMO GIUGNO 2024
Come riportato da MF, Caroline Rush, CEO del British Fashion Council, ha commentato:
“Siamo entusiasti di condividere un nuovo concept per la London fashion week Uomo di giugno che amplificherà il messaggio dei nostri designer e promuoverà le diverse attività di abbigliamento maschile, dallo streetwear a Savile row, così come così come la vendita al dettaglio in città.
Celebreremo e renderemo omaggio ad alcune delle culture che contribuiscono così tanto all’industria della moda britannica. Il nuovo format è il risultato diretto delle conversazioni che intratteniamo continuamente con la comunità del Bfc, composta da designer, media, retailer britannici e internazionali”.
Insomma, per i suoi 40 anni, la London Fashion Week si rinnova e si presenta con un nuovo concept, volto a una sempre maggiore inclusione delle diverse culture e forme d’arte, includendo tra gli eventi una numerosa selezione di mostre, che permetterà di dare sempre maggiore spazio a designer emergenti, tra cui designer neri, asiatici e appartenenti o promotori della comunità LGBTQ+.
Il Bfc ha annunciato, inoltre:
“Siamo entusiasti di annunciare i curatori ospiti di quest’anno Clara Amfo, pluripremiata emittente radiofonica e televisiva; Kai-Isaiah Jamal, poeta, modello, consulente e attivista per la visibilità e Simran Randhawa, scrittore e creativo, che curerà un programma culturale di eventi arricchito da incredibili mostre dei fotografi ospiti, Dani D’Ingeo, Stephen Akinyemi e Tami Aftab.
Le tre culture attorno alle quali ruotano le mostre e la programmazione di quest’anno sono la cultura nera, incentrata sull’amor proprio, la Cultura dell’Asia meridionale con particolare attenzione al modello, al tessile e all’artigianato e la cultura queer, con un focus sulle giovani voci creative della comunità trans.
Radicato a Londra, lo storytelling si concentrerà su marchi e designer britannici, nonché su storie personali provenienti da una varietà di comunità all’interno di queste culture. Per celebrare la LFW40, ci sarà un’installazione retrospettiva che celebrerà il successo della LFW e l’importante ruolo che svolge a livello globale nell’intersezione delle culture”.
