Sanremo 2024: everything you need to know
The Festival Sanremo 2024 starts today, on Tuesday 6 February, and end on Saturday 10 February, presenting its 74th edition. Read on to find out more.
Sanremo 2024: the co-hosts who will accompany Amadeus
The 74th edition of the Italian Song Festival will be presented by Amadeus, accompanied by numerous guests and co-hosts, such as the singer Giorgia, last year’s contestant, where she brought the song ‘Parole dette male’ and with which she finished in 6th place, just below Tananai and her ‘Tango’.
Also attending will be Palermo comedian Teresa Mannino, who rose to fame with the programme Zelig, and who recently played the character of Aunt Tecla in Luca Lucini’s film for Amazon Prime Video, Io e mio fratello, as well as show-woman Lorella Cuccarini, who took a break from her role as a teacher on Maria De Filippi’s Amici, to join Amadeus on the Ariston stage.
Equally important are the two male figures who will flank the presenter: the first evening will be co-hosted with the winner of last year’s Festival, Marco Mengoni, while his friend Fiorello will accompany him in the closing on Saturday 10 February.

Sanremo 2024: what’s new
There will be a novelty in the line-up of the evenings of the 2024 Festival: the first evening of Tuesday 6 February will feature performances by all the contestants, while the evenings of Wednesday and Thursday will feature only half of them. But what is new? The singers who will not perform on Wednesday or Thursday will still be present on the Ariston stage to introduce their colleagues. The draws to pair each singer with his or her own presenter will be held on 7 February, so there are no notes yet, but they will be random.
Friday’s covers night will also be structured according to slightly different rules: singers will be able to choose any song, Italian or international, even from their repertoire, as long as it was released before 31 December 2023. This performance will be counted and is, therefore, an integral part of the challenge.

Among this year’s Bigs, we must not forget the names of the three singers selected during the Sanremo Giovani final on 19 December: Victory was awarded to Clara Soccini with ‘Boulevard’, a song written with Daniele Magro, who will participate in Sanremo 2024 with ‘Diamanti grezzi’. The other two places were taken by Santi Francesi, who will go to the Ariston with ‘L’amore in bocca’ and by bnkr44 who will bring ‘Governo Punk’.

Sanremo 2024: the guests
In addition to Marco Mengoni, who will co-host the first evening with Amadeus, other guests on the Ariston stage will be Giovanni Allevi, during the second evening, Russell Crowe and Eros Ramazzotti during the third and, finally, Roberto Bolle and Gigliola Cinquetti, who will celebrate the 60th anniversary of ‘Non ho l’età’, on the final evening.
Not to be forgotten are the guests who will connect from the Costa Smeralda ship and Piazza Colombo.
